Building DVA

With our VASP licence from Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) secured, DVA enters a new phase where the licence is a foundation, not a finish line. It is the point from which we begin building the platform we set out to create: a regulated, institutional-grade gateway to digital assets, designed around how institutions actually operate.

DVA is a virtual asset broker-dealer serving Institutional and Qualified Investors. Clients retain control of their own assets throughout, executing via a single regulated platform that brings together spot and RFQ trading, OTC liquidity, regulated token distribution, and on- and off-ramp settlement infrastructure. Native AED settlement sits at the centre of the model, connecting global digital asset liquidity to regional capital in a currency our clients hold and understand.

We deliberately built the business this way. Compliance is not a layer added after execution. It is embedded within the trade lifecycle, so that regulatory rigour and commercial efficiency move together rather than against each other.

The institutional and qualified clients we are set out to serve have been waiting for digital asset access on terms they recognise: regulated, transparent, settled locally and connected globally. 

Much of what we bring to this space is not new. It is the discipline of traditional finance applied to a market that is still maturing. The principles that underpin resilient financial institutions, sound operational controls, robust technology, clear governance and a genuine duty to the client are as relevant to digital assets as they have always been to established markets. We aim to operate to the global standards we know work, and to hold them from the outset rather than retrofit them later. Dubai has built one of the most credible frameworks for digital finance anywhere, and VARA's standards give institutions the confidence to engage with this asset class at scale.
